For an import, this movie is amazing. I've never really been a big fan of the 'Eastern Dragons' but this movie has created such a realistic looking eastern dragon, I now have a higher opinion of them, and this movie.
So many people trashed this movie when it first came out, because they were expecting something different, and most people don't like surprises even though they claim to.
I think the acting could have been better, and some of the effects could have been better (although many of the effects are awesome), but for the low budget they had they did pretty good. and I really enjoyed the story based on the old Korean legend.
True Dragon fans should check this out if they haven't, and don't go in expecting this to be just a Special effects action thriller in modern times, It's a legend that spans hundreds of years.
When it comes to Dragons in Movies I am very hard to please, so far the best Dragon visually has been in the movie "Dragon Slayer", it was the most realistic and believable. but D-War has now come very close, maybe it's because I'm not a big fan of Eastern Dragons but I still consider this dragon to be nearly as good visually as Dragon Slayers was.
Watching it swim through the sky was awesome, and the closeups were also very well done.
