Happy New Year!Woke up this morning with Pete waiting outside with a nice surprise from Nintendo. I got a Golden Bed! And they'll be sending the rest of the 12-item set throughout the year. First letter of the year, besides Nintendo's, was Bunnie leaving Alethia Two other letters were from Bettina and Sydney wishing me a Happy New Year. The fourth letter was from my in-game mother telling me how she's start by being a better mother by sending me money. Got my shirt from Tortimer Oh, and the first item I got in 2011 came from a balloon that was flying over during the festivities last night. It was a 1-Up mushroom. Seemed appropriate.

:)Seems Mom is very generous at New Years! I always leave her gifts of Bells in her letters and put them in the Postal Letter Save. All of the townies sent me a New Years letter as well, the mail box was full to the max in the morning and the last three came in the afternoon. I think that the Golden Bed is quite splendid and look forward to getting the rest of the set. Was going to redo my house and get rid of the Christmas stuff, making a room fit for the Golden Bed but when I went to the City I noticed that the HRA display room was my own so it will have to wait. Of course if I happen to get out and about the display room will probably change and then I will redecorate. Now to try for the perfect snowman.

I'm guessing that the Golden bed is directly from Nintendo and requires interet access to receive that gift. oh well.
As for a perfect Snowman, I can help there. To check the sizes of the snowballs I stand directly behind the ball and lower the camera angle so you can see the sky. I make the first snowball so that it completely covers my face and just reaches my hairline. then I make the second snowball so that it just comes up to the bottom of my eyes. once I figured this measuring technique out I have built a perfect snowman every time. My biggest problem is finding places in my town where I have enough snow to make the snowballs bigger. lol

:)I'll try out that Snowman strategy(sp?) and let you know how it turns out! Also those Dung Beetles are rather pesky, they roll my snowballs away while I go find another one...

It's terrible when you're rolling the second snowball to the first, you see that first snowball floating and melting down the river...

I've learned that when I see the first snowball, I roll it as far away from any water/cliff/hills as possible. lol
