Does anyone know how to find the lost key? I searched all around the house, and shook all the trees, but I couldn't find it.

fish.
lots of fishing.
it gets very boring after a while because sometimes it takes ages. often the animals say "maybe i dropped it into the river", so look in the river.

Haha, I kept my neighbor's key. They eventually get in somehow though.

Right, if you talk to them a second time, they'll say maybe they lost it in the river. So you just keep fishing in the river until you get the key. Sometimes I've had to catch more than 8 fish before it is finally the key.
Kind of a neat little bit they added this time around.
