Is there any way to get different kinds of fruit without WiFi?

Mail gifts to your neighbors. Just like in the first two games your neighbors sometimes mail you fruit as return gifts.

I tried sending letters to neighbors but none of them sent me back any fruit

Make sure you also write something somewhat coherent on the letters.

I've played around with writing letters and it doesn't seem to be as picky as Wild World.

Just do a simple "Hi, [neighbor's name]."

If that doesn't work, then try writing more. I think short messages worked for me.

Did you send a gift in the letter?

I know that the game isn't near as strict as the original AC game. lol

Maybe you have to be persistent and keep sending them gifts. remember shells from the beach count as gifts also.

Dear(villager's name)
How are you?
From(player's name)


I always get a fruit!And don't forget to attach a fruit to the letter!

thanks! I mostly got clothes, but I got a peach too. I'll keep trying to get all the different kinds of fruit.

This has been really frustrating because I have been writing letters every other day to my neighbors and sending everything from shells, to cherries (my native fruit), coconuts, and furniture, but they seem to only send me carpet and wallpaper! NO fruit! I have been trying different ways to write the letters, but nothing helps. Once in a while I'll get a piece of furniture, but it's mostly carpets and wallpaper.
