Greetings AC fans, I am new to this whole online Animal Crossing! Can anyone lemme in on the secret to town travel? If my gate is open, I can't go out right...not even to the city? How will I know if one of my friends are in my town?
Do I need to coordinate my leaving the city with the time another player is online?
Can I trust for no one to run through my flowers? And is it stealing to take a piece of fruit from another town?
And lastly, anyone looking for a new town to visit? I play all the time and once I get this figured out, my gates will regularly be open!!! Any and all answers will be greatly appreciated. Tina

True if your gates are open then you have to remain in your town. You should be alerted when someone enters or exits your town, and your town map should show you who is in your town and where. (This is what I have been told, if this is not true please someone let me know.)
If you are wanting to visit someone specifically it is a good idea to coordinate a time to get together. but If AC:CF is similar to AC:WW then you can check and see if another town (from your roster) has its gates open, and when your gates are open others on your roster can see that they are open if they check.
Our members are polite and wont destroy your town including running through flowers (at least they better behave or they will be removed from our friend code list heh). Most people do not mind visitors taking fruit, but it is still nice to ask first. It's also a good Idea to bring items for trade such as your towns fruit.
