Entertainment Weekly reports that Rock Band 2 will be receiving some pretty hefty full albums in the "coming months," (after the game launches in September.) All told, Entertainment Weekly reveals six full albums from well-known groups. The albums mentioned are:
* Foo Fighters -- "The Colour and the Shape"
* Red Hot Chili Peppers -- "Blood Sugar Sex Magik"
* Jane's Addiction -- "Nothing's Shocking"
* Megadeth -- "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying"
* Stevie Ray Vaughn -- "Texas Flood"
Harmonix has made much of its intent to continue its strong postrelease support in Rock Band 2, which debuts on the Xbox 360 in September and follows on the PlayStation 3, Wii, and PlayStation 2 later in the year.
Also mentioned in the article is a special collection of hits from No Doubt.
Neither Harmonix nor its publisher MTV Games revealed the exact dates on which the aforementioned albums will be rolled out. However, MTV Games did tell EW that they would all be available "in the coming months."
Harmonix expects to have more than 500 songs available for play in Rock Band 2 by year's end. As revealed during this year's E3 Media & Business Summit, more than 80 songs will ship on the game's disc, with headline acts including AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, and Bob Dylan.

I am very impressed with the artists and songs so far, and if the two companies can fix the compatibility issues with the instruments between the GH4 and RB2 games, I may even consider purchasing this Rock Band game. Although I dont want to waste money buying a game that my guitar controllers I already have wont work on.
