It was a cold day that ten years ago. A penguin named Aurora had just built me. This was in the time were all the towns of Animal Crossing were together. We were united as one. This is the tale of how we now have seperate towns.
We were ruled by Pascal. He was a kind king. Old and Wise. He never did anything that was bad for the kingdom. The place where we lived was called Crossing Kingdom. I was built smack dab in the center of Crossing Kingdom. But, enough about me, you want to know how we were divided. There was a very rich man named Redd. He was a fox and he had a wonderful wife and 3 children. His life was perfect. He had everything in the world except for the thing he wanted the most. Crossing Kingdom. He longed to be the ruler. One day, the exact day when the world become a year older, he hatched a plan.
Redd's heart turned cold as he went through with this plan. He got his own children to kidnap King Pascal. Redd took all of Pascal's nice clothes off and put him in rags. Then he tied Pascal up and put him in a small, airtight chamber with some food and jugs of fresh water, attached 1000 pounds of weight, and threw the chamber into the ocean. "I'm not mean." He said with a smile, " At least I left the old coot with some food." Redd when back to his house to pack his things. The town was in panic. Redd hurridly ran to the castle and said, "Not to fear! I will rule this town until King Pascal is found!" the town was pleased that someone as rich as Redd came in and decided to rule the town. But, they were only happy for about a week. Redd's wife found out what Redd did. Redd's wife Whitney was going to tell them all what he did. Redd went wild. He threatened to kill her, so she took her children and left Crossing Kingdom forever.
With his wife and children gone, Redd went into an angry state. He started to rule the kingdom with an Iron Fist and it did not go well. He started to used the inhabitants of Crossing Kingdom as slaves, working in coal mines, picking fruit, fishing for the king Redd never did anything. And he set a tax. Anyone who could not pay 10,000 bells each week were thrown in jail and anyone who went against Redd were put to death. The kingdom got very angry. They all held a meeting that was lead by Brewster (who was very outgoing and a strong leader in these times) and all of the townspeople (even the police officers) got together and formed and army.
They all barged into the castle andwent into Redd's room. They demanded answers. Redd was afraid. Afraid for his life. he finally said, "Ok, it was me, I KIDNAPPED PASCAL! I WANTED TO BE KING! I'M SO SORRY!" The kingdom was infuriated. Some of the people said, "Hey, he said he's sorry." but others were angry at Redd. Crossing Kingdom became divided and in this time of war, Redd ran away.
The battle was epic. All 356 inhabitants of Crossing Kingdom were at war. In the end Brewster's army of ones who disliked Redd won. Redd ran away, leaving a note telling the townspeople where Pascal was. The people who supported Redd, but lost the war left the planet in a Rocket ship and no one knows where they are. Thats why we have the number of different characters in the game that we have now. There used to be 356, now there is 178. 144 inhabitants and 34 Regulars and Visitors. Wendell who is an excellent swimmer for his size, dove down to the bottom of the ocean and rescued Pascal, then told him what happened. Pascal said, "Never again will I allow this to happen. There shall be no more king of Crossing Kingdom." And so it was. A kingdom without a king. But, without a ruler people went crazy. So the regulars and visitors we know now built a giant brainwashing machiene and brainwashed the minds of all 144 inhabitants so they now know nothing of their life before that day, and that brought peace. But still, the kingdom was in havoc. A powerful force named "Nintendo" stepped in and saved the day. The ones who remembered the war agreed to Nintendo's ideas and the world was divided into towns that were later named by humans, each town had a mayor and the inhabitants were divided throughout the towns. Copies were made of the Regulars, but each one shared a brain, (Example: The original Brewster shares a brain with each and every Brewster copy so the original Brewster knows whats going on in every town that has a Brewster copy.). As for the visitors, they go on and travel to different towns. No copies were made of the visitors.
All the originals rest in the town that resides in the location where the center of Crossing Kingdom. The town where I rest now and where I will eventually fade away.
And that town's name is ReDDwarf.
