I must admit I still like to play the Game Cube version of AC now and then.
I actually leave my Game Cube at my parents' house, since we have a Wii here. And my 68-yr-old father likes to play some AC when I visit (I visit about every other Sunday.) I'll hook up the game and play for a bit. I like to shake the trees for money, items and to catch the bees. I also dig up the fossils and send them off in the letters. Then I let Dad do the rest. He likes to shake the fruit and sell it. And he likes to fish and sell. I also showed him how to hit the money rock, and he likes to try that. I'd gotten to where I could get 7 bags every time, but he can usually only get 4 or 5. But I think that's pretty good for someone that's not that experienced with video games.
I think it's cool that he likes to play. And he now knows how to shut the game down himself. I'm sure he could start it up himself too, but he's nervous about messing something up. So he only plays when I come to visit.
Anyone else still enjoy it now and then?

Yes I still play from time to time. But I play mine on our Wii now. But the game still plays the same.
I usually only play for two reasons. Either to code an item for someone, or to play one of the NES games. Once in awhile I get adventurous and walk around town and talk to neighbors. but not often.

I do still play the ACGC version, always something to do and I still have not met all the animals even though I have been playing since it was available. With my new town I now have 7 towns altogether. It was only this summer that I discovered that I could get to the island on the GBA sp without a game in it!! I guess my older mind is not as game savvy as a childs...

It's been so long... I think I had 4 towns at one time, but that was my maximum. My dad plays my 3rd town. I haven't played my original town in ages. You mentioned meeting all the animals...do you keep track of which animals you've met? I do that too. I have a list printed out and I check off who has lived in my town. I do it with my ACWW game too. I can't believe how many I still haven't seen yet.

:)I have not received any Island Items yet, when the weather is not so nice out I will play a bit more and try to acquire some. I have not made my own list of townies that I meet, I do have a print out of them all from ACWW and ACGC games though. I can pretty much remember them all in my lil ol' head!! Amazing eh? What is so neat is that the animals remember you from town to town, have you noticed that?

I still occasionally play the Gamecube version. When I play, I mainly just check to see if certain special visitors are in town (I'm still missing a few of those items), talk to some villagers, and plant some flowers. I tend to play the Gamecube version more than the DS version, actually. I do this as well. Last time I counted, I had met over 120 (just in my main town). I'd like to meet all the animals, and I still wonder how the moving-in/moving-out system will work once I've had all of the animals live in my town.

I play the GC one sometimes, mostly on my Wii. I play the DS one a lot more. It's not so easy to cheat the GC one. I know, I know. I'm bad. I record the time I play and then I can go back to that day instead of 4 months later when all my flowers are dead and the town is covered in weeds. That's why right now my town is experiencing December of last year at the moment.

I got an urge to start a new town in my Game Cube Animal Crossing. So I did the other night. I wiped out the town that a former coworker of mine made when I loaned him my Cube and game. He moved away so won't be using it anymore.
I just always love the beginning stages of making a town. Especially after I'm done dealing with Nook and can start filling my catalog. That's my favorite part of the Game Cube version...trying to complete my catalog. So I love having a clean slate and having to start all over again.
And I always borrow my main character's golden axe and chop down almost all the trees. I hate how many trees there are at the beginning of the game. I'm very, very, very picky about where my trees go. So I like to start all over again.
So I chopped most of the the other night and dug up my fossils, although I couldn't send them off yet, because I hadn't gotten my letter from the museum. But I'm going to play here shortly, and it should be there waiting for me.
This is the only character I named my real name, Carol. And the town I created is TheWoods. I was hoping for Texas Stadium, but it was too long! ;o) (I'm a big Cowboys fan.)
So I'm off to play now. I've actually not played my ACWW game for a couple days so that I could play the Game Cube game. Getting nostalgic, I guess.

Halloween is fun!! But my favorite is Thanksgiving and finding the Turkey...don't remember his name. Oh, Franklin! He's so funny!! I think I'll pull out one of my other towns and fast forward to Thanksgiving this evening. That will be fun!

Yeah, the Harvest furniture is one of my favorite. I did fast forward to Thanksgiving and got the whole series of furniture for my new character in my new town. Her house is still so small that it doesn't all fit. ;D Now I'm going to go back and do Halloween, because I love the Spooky furniture too. But I think it's more difficult, because it's so hard to find Jack. And you get repeats of the items. Franklin gives you the whole series before he starts repeating. I love that turkey. Plus I need to go and gather candy first. Fun, fun!!

So last night I did the Halloween hunt for a little over an hour.
First of all, I went to Oct. 20th, and bought candy. Then went through everyday between the 20th and Halloween and bought all the candy. That was a lot of candy.
Then I started the hunt. After finding Jack 4 times, I only had 2 unique items. He repeated the vanity and the clock both. Ugh!! I remember how aggravating the Halloween hunt can be!! I had to take a break, plus I was tired...it was after midnight. I'm going to go back and do more this afternoon. I don't know if I'll stick through getting everything. I might just take my set from my original character and loan it to my new girl.
