Does anyone know if Nintendo plans to release an "official" guide for AC CF? I've only seen the Prima one so far.

Does anyone know if Nintendo plans to release an "official" guide for AC CF? I've only seen the Prima one so far. Some friends from another video game forum told me that Nintendo no longer publishes "Offical Nintendo" Guides. They stopped doing that about the time they sold publishing rights to Nintendo Power. So as far as they know Prima will be the one. Which totally bums me because I much preferred the Nintendo ones to the Prima ones. Melt, do you know any differently?

Ah, well, let's hope we don't see Prima's usual typos. Nintendo wasn't perfect either, but it just wasn't as apparent.

Unfortunately it is true Nintendo Power who used to make all the "Official Gudies" for Nintendo, stopped making them back in December 2007 when they changed to Future US, Inc. as their new publisher and distributor.
I personally have always hated Prima because they have way to many errors in them (not just typos, sometimes completely wrong information), but now they are the only option for 'printed' guides.
And I am sure they will make one for AC:CF as they made guides for both current versions of the games.

Thanks for the info. Our subscription to Nintendo Power expired and I was waiting to renew because I was hoping that I could get the ACCF guide for free with renewal. I am really bummed that Nintendo won't be putting out a guide. I had the Prima guide for the Gamecube AC and it was terrible!

Does anyone have the guide? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

Does anyone have the guide? If so, what are your thoughts on it? I really like it so far, surprisingly. Of course, I don't know yet if the information is accurate. No way to know for sure yet. But I really like the set-up of it. I'm using it as my checklist. It even tells you exactly how to get a perfect town (how many trees and flowers in a marked out area.) We all know that stuff, but I thought it was interesting for them to spell it out. So far...I really like the guide. And mine came with a poster!! Anyone else have that? I got mine from GameStop, and it was wrapped in plastic with the poster in the plastic, but separate from the guide.

I think I might've found the first mistake in the Prima Guide (well other than the typos I've seen...who was the editor?)
I don't find where it says the Ray is available at all. It definitely doesn't show up on the November month list. And I definitely caught one last night. One of my friends caught one too, so it wasn't a fluke. So Ray is available in the ocean during November. And it was in the evening when I caught mine.
Mistake #1.

The Miniature Car isn't listed in the guide, but it is in the game. I kind of doubt that it's one of those supposed unlisted items that are country-specific.

I've found a few things in the Guide that don't seem accurate.
For one, it lists the house models as being availbable at Nook's. But I got my smallest house model because of my HRA score, just like the older versions. It wasn't for sale, and I highly doubt they will be. So I think those are errors, listing the house models as for sale in Nook's.
It lists carnations as being for sale in Nook's. Has anyone ever found a carnation for sale? I haven't yet. I was wondering if that was accurate.
It seems like there was a couple other things...I'll have to try to remember.
