I have the ACWW for my DS and I absolutely love it. Just wondering though, do you think it is worth trying to track down the Game Cube version? I have no idea personally...

I think you might enjoy seeing AC on a console. It's so cool to see it bigger. And there are enough differences, that I'm really glad I have both. But that's just me.

I don't have a Wii yet. I might get it one day if I can afford it. Not sure. So, I guess it is time I track down the forefather of my beloved game!

IF you have a Game cube then I suggest getting AC for it. and even if you get a Wii and the new AC:CF game, I still strongly suggest getting the original AC game.
the original AC games has some features not offered in AC:WW or AC:CF. I still on occasion put in my original AC game for a couple of reasons. 1 to code items to give to others who are just starting out on their AC games, and 2 I love playing the old NES games that are available in the game.
There is also an Island that you can visit if you own a GBA or a GBA-SP and a cord to connect it to your Gamecube or Wii. The island not only offers special items you can find, it also has a house on it that gives you extra storage for items. heh heh
I still see the original AC game for sale in our local Target and K-mart stores.
IF you can buy it new, get it that way, the game comes with it's own memory card with bonus gifts for the first player, If you buy it used be sure to also buy a spare memory card as the game does take up 57 blocks of memory. (58 once you start playing NES games)

I love the NES games on it! The GC version is totally worth getting! I love all the holiday extras. I even have the E-reader and a lot of e-reader cards. (Boy I wish I could still get those, I need to finish my collection.) And if you have a GBA (not the SP, the regular GBA) and a link cable, you can go to the island. I love the GC version. I have 5 towns...mostly cause I like riding the train. If you like AC, it's always worth getting the GC version.

Alright, I will definitely be considering buying it. And a memory card too. Our current one is running out of room. I know how to get a GBA for $30 so I will get that, and hopefully be able to track down some cables! I am really excited by this concept now... thanks for your help.

I even have the E-reader and a lot of e-reader cards. (Boy I wish I could still get those, I need to finish my collection.) And if you have a GBA (not the SP, the regular GBA) and a link cable, The GBA-SP works the same as the original GBA. We only use the GBA-SP's with our game. The only difference is when you use the e-reader, you still have to connect the link cable to the top of the SP and not go through the e-reader.

I'm sorry, I should have worded that different. You can go to the island with the cable and either the GBA or the GBA-SP, you can't use an E-reader with the SP the same way. It just seems easier to me to use a regular GBA for the E-reader. (I actually had more problems using my SP for it than using my regular GBA.)

I just joined this board today, and I also just found MY e-Reader cards! If you let me know which cards you are looking for, I can mail them to you, if I have them. I never got a complete set, but I'll bet there's at least a couple that I could send you. I traded in my e-Reader a week ago, to get more Wii stuff, so I have no use for the cards anymore, other than sentimental value. ;D

Wish I had an e reader, I just won some cards. eh, I lied in my previous post! They wouldn't take my e-Reader because it's not really a wanted item anymore. As far as I know, it still functions, though! If you want it, it's yours. Just tell me where to send it. Branwen (aka Ember in TwoMoons)
