I was wondering when Gracie changes her stock? What is the point of the golden shovel? With the silver, you at least get extra amounts of money when you hit rocks, but I haven't found the purpose of the golden one yet.

In AC:WW the Golden shovel increased your odds of randomly digging up bell bags on 'good luck' days, and it gave you the ability to grow bell trees.
so I imagine both are the same for AC:CF. I have been told that Bell trees are possible in the new game so I included it in the 'tools walkthgough' but still waiting for confirmation on being able to randomly dig up bell bags.

I belive that Gracie has 4 different "themes." One for each season (Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.) We started in Winter I think (even though it wasn't technically Winter), so it will probably be closer to actualy Spring when he changes. But that's just my guess.
